Starting today you can use your two favorite web apps together – Gmail and Paymo.
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Head to Gmail Labs
2. Enable Gmail Gadgets (“Add any gadget by URL” – by Dan P and Dong C)
3. Go to Settings in Gmail and click on Gadgets
4. Add a gadget by its URL:
http://www.paymo.biz/gadgets/gmail/sidebar.xml
5. Enter your Paymo subdomain in the new Paymo panel that appears in Gmail
6. Login to Paymo and start using it
Note: Safari users will have to enable third party cookies for the feature to work.
(Preferences->Security->Accept Cookies = Always)
This gadget is still in beta, please send us your feedback.

I like it! I use it with my Google Apps account and it feels great to have paymo integrated. Next stop Google Apps integration!

Definitely going to ease my work.

nice.
one thing:
of all the links in the links in the gadget i’ll barely use any but “dashboard”, as this links to the others anyways – BUT – the most interesting to have a direct link to is missing.. it’s “timer” ;(

This is a lot more than I want in Gmail. Really, I would like a little gadget that simply lives in the sidebar and allows me to track time. I don’t need the whole site inside Gmail, that’s what the Paymo website is for.

Thanks for the integration. I’m very surprised that it doesn’t have the timer though! That’s the one item I really wanted there. Are there any plans to add the timer?

Guys, please check out the Jobs app for inspiration. I still use it when I’m at meetings and out of office to track my time.

Sorry, the above post was for the iPhone app. I really liked the Google Apps button!
If you can integrate Paymo with Google Apps, especially documents and calendar, then you will have a lifelong customer.

@Kiper IT-konsult
Google apps integration went live today (we are writing a blog post about it)
Please suggest features there (or in our hep portal).
PS: You can import your milestones in google calendar …. (look for Global iCalendar on the dashboard and also on the project overview page)

Just wondering how secure this feature is? I was able to add this using only the paymo subdomain in my gmail account, it didn’t ask for any login or security. Does this mean ANYONE could type in my subdomain and see all of my account information?
September 29, 2010 at 12:59 pm
Nevermind, my mistake, it now asks for a login…please forgive my minor panic attack

@Chris no problems Chris, better to be paranoid than to be sorry
If you have any concerns about security please let us know.

I recently began testing Paymo, and I love it. Its clean, its easy, and has great interfaces to interact with the service. You guys are doing an *outstanding* job. I’ve bounced between a few competitors of services like this during the past couple of years; but Paymo takes the cake. Well done!
But, and there is always a but, with the Google Apps integration: I sincerely hope that there will be proper Google Calendar integration soon. Tasks particularly, although I think projects and especially milestones should also be included.
I’m telling a lot of people about Paymo, that I know that will surely benefit from your service! Fully tying it all together with people already benefiting from Google Apps would truly be icing on the cake.
Oh, and emailable invoices would be cool too.

Hi Michael, please submit your ideas about google calendar integration on our community support portal here: http://help.paymo.biz
Regarding emailing invoices, you can do that

Hello,
Is there a way just to add time tracker to gmail sidebar or maybe you guys are already working on it?

@Kroma: this is not technically possible at the moment, sorry.
